Faith is a weird thing and most people tend to underestimate the power. Mostly because they don’t have enough of it, they don’t understand how to utilize their faith or they have misplaced it in a powerless being or thing like money.
…………..………………..
Faith is a powerful instrument in the hands of those who recognize its value and power. For example, the woman with the issue of blood in the bible (Luke 8:43-48), she knew that through her faith and undeniable trust in the power of Jesus Christ her key to her freedom from the chains of her disease would be released to her; she used that key of faith to open that door of healing and Jesus himself welcomed her through that door made her understand that it was her faith in him that healed her. In this case her faith was perfectly positioned in Christ alone and she was rewarded for her recognition for the value of faith in Christ.
Then the woman, seeing that she could not
go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet.
In the presence of all the people,
she told why she had touched him and how she had
been instantly healed. Then he said to her,
“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
Luke 8 : 47 - 48
Faith in Christ is a special aspect of our Christian journey that is always helpful most especially when a person is going through rough times. Most people find it hard to comprehend the idea of having faith in Christ when tough times come, but I can say that it is one of the best things to have through those times because Jesus himself is full of wonders and miracles. There was a point in my life were I felt like my heart was completely shattered. I was portraying a made-up version of myself and I felt like I had no one to share my inner thoughts and feelings of the pain I was feeling but through this time, I always held unto the faith in Christ that he would heal me of my emotional wounds that people inflicted, that he would come into my heart and mend all the pieces of my heart back together that had been broken from putting my trust and faith in people.
Christ Jesus will never let us down and the reason I am saying this is because during the times of my emotional struggles and the feeling of heartache, he put me through a process of healing and he made me to understand that like the woman with the issue of blood whose faith opened the door of her healing, that is how my faith in him would help me start my journey of emotional healing. Each day that my faith and trust in the idea that Christ has a purpose for my life grew stronger, I felt like he was gradually giving me a full heart transplant which is more than I expected from just having an unshakable faith in the power of Christ Jesus in my life. This clearly shows the true power and importance that our Lord Jesus Christ places on the idea of having Faith in him alone.
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20
To conclude, Faith in Christ is having complete and firm trust in the miraculous abilities of Christ in our lives. It is highly important to kick out any feeling of doubts when it comes to your journey with Christ because that is how you utilize your faith especially in the midst of trials and temptations. Always pray for him to strengthen your faith and just know that our Lord is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and best of all he is a Benevolent God who will always be there when no man can.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
Ephesians 2:8
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20
